About Joseph Imsais
Joseph Imsais, MD, FACC, earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Imsais furthered his medical training by completing fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, and while there, served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Imsais is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and endovascular medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His areas of clinical expertise include diagnostic coronary and peripheral angiography, complex coronary and peripheral interventions, pulmonary angiography and inferior vena cava placement, atrial septal defects and patent foramen ovale closures, and adult congenital heart disease. Dr. Imsais serves as Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at St. David's North Austin Medical Center.
He has conducted cardiovascular disease research and authored articles for prominent medical journals and texts. He also reviews manuscripts for American Journal of Cardiology. His professional memberships include American Medical Association, American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
